USA Regional Facilitator

Background

Shabber is a second year medical student at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He serves as the Vice President for the Institute For Healthcare Improvement at the WSU chapter and hopes to improve the quality of healthcare and education among medical students. He also serves as an Education Coordinator for Detroit Vs. Addiction, a group dedicated to raising awareness about the opioid crisis in Detroit.

Motivation

Shabber is motivated to increase the quality of healthcare and work to increase healthcare accessibility among underserved populations. This includes working with organizations dedicated to increasing health literacy & education while working as an advocate for initiatives like SAC.

Goals

Shabber hopes to work on tangible solutions to COVID-19 pandemic issues such as blood shortage around the world in addition to empowering students to create their own initiatives.
