Medical Student

Khushi Mehta is a first year medical student from Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai, India. Working for women’s health is one of the first projects she has taken towards community service. Being a member of other organisations in India, she hopes to expand her field of work in reproductive and community services.

She joined the Women’s Health Team with the motive of trying to bring about a good change especially during these times of crisis. The words of Faye Wattleton,”Reproductive freedom is critical to a whole range of issues. If we can’t take charge of this most personal aspect of our lives, we can’t take care of anything.” inspired her to work towards reproductive health especially for women.

She hopes to see a society where women are not afraid to make choices for themselves and for their health. Through SAC, she hopes to connect with people from different cultures, appreciate the differences and work on a common platform to see that society become a reality.
