Brief History

As the novel coronavirus took the world by surprise, many people find themselves trying to sift through headlines but miss actual matters which lay behind the text. In such difficult time, when there are so many unknowns and it’s so easy to cling to half truths – We at #Students_Against_COVID started our very own COVID19 Podcast Series back in April 2020, adding the human element to issues worldwide regarding the current pandemic.

Give everyone a chance to be heard

THE TEAM OFFERS A CHANCE TO PEOPLE ALL AROUND THE WORLD, REGARDLESS OF KNOWLEDGE, STATUS OR OCCUPATION, TO TALK ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHTS ABOUT THE PANDEMIC.

Promote public awareness

THE TEAM IS WORKING TOGETHER WITH THE MAIN GOAL OF EDUCATING THE PUBLIC, DISPELLING THE FOG OF CONFUSION OR IGNORANCE ABOUT THE VIRUS.

Bring up matters into the spotlight

UNFORTUNATELY AS THE VIRUS HAS ATTAINED THE EXCLUSIVE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD, MANY NEW PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURED WHILE OLD ONES HAVE BEEN INTESTIFIED. THE TEAM AIMS AT BROACHING THEM VIA INTERVIEWS.

Our Workflow Plan

We follow a cyclical pattern of work.

1. We discuss various topics for upcoming interviews.
- How can we better educate the public?
- What topics need to be discussed?
- Can we find a more creative content to spark public's interest?

2. We search and contact a potential interviewee. Once they agree on being interviewed and how (written interview or via videocalling), we inform the rest of our team.

3. We arrange a time and date for the interview in collaboration with the interviewee, the hosts of the podcasts and discuss the questions. If the interviewee wants to discuss something specific, we adapt the questions accordingly

4. The questions are taken by the Script Writers and Editor team, a subgroup of the Interview team, and are organised in a google document, with the intro as well as the outro of the interview. Once everything is ready the whole team is informed.

5. After the interview, if the interview is a written one, it is sent to Blog Team while if it was recorded in a videocall (with the interviewee's permission) it is sent for editing in the Video Editing Team.

6. When all preparations end, Social Media Team assumes on posting the interview on all social media platforms.

SINCE WE ARE WORKING IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER TEAMS, IT’S IMPORTANT TO BE ALWAYS ON SCHEDULE

A subgroup of the Interview team;

Responsible for writing the script of each interview.
